Total nail care begins here. This class teaches the fundamentals of manicures, including filing, cuticle cares, proper polish technique, and instrument sterilization.

Acrylic Application

This class applies skills learned from “Back to Basics” to learn the NAD acrylic application process for sculptured nails. Topics include using forms, applying acrylic, filing, shaping, buffing, and drilling. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Class 100 &101, Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Acrylic Application with Tip

This class applies skills learned from “Back to Basics” to learn the NAD acrylic application process for tip overlay. Topics include tip application, applying acrylic, filing, shaping, buffing, and drilling. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Classes 100 - 102; Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Designing with Polish

This class is a crash course in creating with various types of polish, unique brushes and acrylic paint. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Standalone course, completed as determined by NAD Institute. Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Airbrush Preparation

You’ve learned how to do nails, now it’s time to design. This will be a fundamental class on preparing to airbrush. Topics include learning the parts of the airbrush gun, cleaning techniques, gun control and preparing the nails for airbrushing. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Classes 100-105. Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Airbrush Paints

This class will cover the basics of airbrush paint. You will learn the behaviors of the three types of paints, -- transparent, opaque and pearl. You will learn beginning techniques such as color exchange, blending and splash. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Classes 100-105 & 201. Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Graphic Techniques

This class will build on previous classes to cover the basics of graphic techniques. You will learn various methods including graphic overlay, stencils and introductory edge spraying. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Classes 100-105, 201 & 202. Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

Edge and Line Techniques

This class is an advanced class combining graphic techniques with comprehensive edge and line spraying. You will learn these techniques with various NAD Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: Classes 100-105 & 201-203. Cosmetologist License or at least 200 hours completed from a licensed (or accredited) Cosmetology School.

The NAD Challenge Course

This is an all-hands course. You will be required apply any of the various technical nail and design techniques as directed by the instructor. Completion of this course is pass/fail and participants must pass before building clientele. Time of course: __ hours Prerequisite: All Classes.
